High School

Grade 8-12

Known. Challenged. Inspired.

High School Academics

At St Teresa’s High School, academic excellence is built on knowing every girl as an individual.

Small class sizes, dedicated teachers and the IEB curriculum create an environment where girls are challenged, supported and encouraged to think independently. Our goal is not only excellent matric results, but confident young women who are ready for university and beyond.

Preparing young women for university, for purpose and for life.

A Curriculum Built for Excellence

The High School follows the requirements of the South African Curriculum Statements, with two academic pathways:

  • GET Phase (Grades 7-9)

  • FET Phase (Grades 10-12)

Students complete their schooling with the National Senior Certificate (NSC) written through the Independent Examinations Board (IEB), widely recognised for its academic rigour and high standards.

Developing Independent Thinkers

We want our girls to leave St Teresa’s with more than knowledge.

Through curiosity, critical thinking and meaningful learning experiences, girls develop the confidence to ask questions, solve problems and lead with integrity. As they move through high school, they become increasingly independent, prepared not only for university, but for life.
