Become a Rosie
The Journey from Grade 000 to Matric
St Teresa’s School is an independent Catholic girls’ school, welcoming families from all faiths.
The journey of a Rosie is a seamless path of growth, discovery, and sisterhood that spans every developmental milestone. It begins at Rosebuds Pre-Primary, where we nurture curiosity and play-based learning, before transitioning into the Junior Primary to build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. In the Senior Primary, girls develop independence and leadership, culminating in the High School, where academic excellence and personal character are refined for the IEB matric examinations. Whether she joins us as a toddler or a teenager, every girl is embraced by a supportive community that ensures she flourishes at every grade level, carrying the "Rosie" spirit with her long after graduation.

Our School

The Rosie Experience
From our Community
Our family feels truly blessed to be part of St Teresa’s, a small Catholic girls’ school that has become a second home for our daughter. From the very first day, we noticed the warm, caring atmosphere that defines this wonderful community. The teachers and staff at St Teresa’s School are genuinely compassionate and attentive to each child’s individual needs. The school’s emphasis on faith, kindness, and respect has helped our daughter grow in confidence and develop a deeper sense of self-worth. Our daughter has blossomed academically, in cultural extramurals, on the sports field and socially, and we are grateful for the gentle guidance and encouragement she receives every day. St Teresa’s is more than just a school; it’s a community rooted in faith and love that truly cares for each student.

Despite my daughter having separation anxiety when she started, it did not take long for her to adjust as she found herself in a nurturing Rosie community that fosters a strong sense of respect, support, acceptance and positivity. The teachers are priceless and create a safe space for the girls by loving them and fostering an embracing atmosphere at school. I particularly appreciate that the Principal leads by example as the staff model for the girls what the love of God and caring for our fellow human beings look like. This has been consistent throughout my daughter’s journey which has resulted in a confident, loving, responsible and motivated Rosie with a firm identity of who she is.

It has been a privilege to witness our little girls grow into teenagers from the Junior Primary to the Senior Primary phases of St Teresa’s School. The nurturing environment has encouraged them to be the best they can be in all facets of school, while holding space for their individual strengths and unique personalities. The academics are exceptional, the sporting environment wonderful and the passion and care of the teachers unwavering. By joining St Teresa’s School you really become part of a family: staff, students, leadership and parents work together to form a remarkable community in which our girls have thrived.

My two daughters are 3rd generation St Teresa’s girls, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. St Teresa’s School is, and always has been, an incredibly well balanced environment. Academic, cultural and sporting excellence are all encouraged, but the well-being of the child takes precedence. Given the pressures on children in 2025, this balanced and nurturing approach to education is something we value as a family. We find St Teresa’s students and the school community in general to be kind and gentle and are very proud to be part of a school with such a strong ethos of compassion, service, love and respect.
